You heard it here. Positive thinking will only get you so far. Positive thinking and positive talk is important, don’t get me wrong. What I’ve seen and experienced is that it’s what you’re “feeling” deep in the core that can cause you to choke in a heart beat. Most often competitors aren’t even aware of the negative core beliefs and limiting beliefs that are hiding under the surface squashing all attempts from the mind to think and stay positive.
Are you the World Champion of your own backyard? Do you have stellar performances at home and fall apart in competition? That’s a good sign you have subconscious beliefs sabotaging your performance.
An example of this is the statement “I am a winner”. You can tell yourself you’re a winner all day long, but if deep inside “I am a winner” is not true for your subconscious, it’s going to be putting “I’m not a winner” (or I’m a loser) out the Universe. What you believe you will receive. When your subconscious doesn’t believe it’s a winner it sabotages the conscious mind to bring the inner feelings of being a loser into fruition. Yes! This is big!
What if deep down you thought you didn’t deserve to win. What if you had this deeply rooted belief that only those that ride and practice every day will win. What if you only had time to ride three times this week, do you still think you’re prepared to win or will you subconsciously sabotage your efforts, because you didn’t deserve to be there? Or what if you believe only hard work creates success and you end up with a horse that is a peach? Do you think she’s too easy and she’s not going to make a good one because she wasn’t hard enough work? My point is, we carry many judgments that could potentially limit our success.
Becoming aware of these judgments and limiting beliefs is one of the ways we can start to get rid of them. You can do this on your own, by going inside and thinking deep about what is causing your hiccups and failures. You can also make a list of positive statements (often called mantras or affirmations). Write them out and repeat them over and over 100’s of times and eventually, you will retrain your subconscious mind.
What’s exciting about the work I do is that we can speed up this process by tapping directly into your subconscious and make the changes within a matter of minutes. Through our coaching sessions, we can determine which limiting beliefs are holding you back, and clear those from your subconscious mind. We can then install through positive affirmative statements (like I am a winner) that will now be true for your subconscious. It’s a bit of a hotwiring system we use to get deep into your subconscious mind and clear out of those thoughts and feelings you’ve likely had since you were a kid. We take out the negative and put in the thoughts we do want to come to fruition. It all starts with getting the limiting beliefs out of the way, so all the abundance that is yours and waiting can join you.
And that’s just it, this success you are looking for is just as much yours as the next guys. It’s what is deep within that’s holding you back from cashing in on all that is yours.
